Common Urological Complaints

Prostate Problems

Prostate problems cause urgency, frequency, difficulty in passing urine and getting up at night to pass urine, ultimately resulting in retention or inability to pass urine.

These are typical symptoms of an enlarged prostate (Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy).  In most cases this is a benign condition and can often be treated with medication (pills) or key hole surgery (Endoscopy).

This must be distinguished from Prostate Cancer which can cause identical symptoms. We will be able to rapidly establish a diagnosis and put you on the correct treatment pathway.  Your evaluation will include blood tests such as PSA and the most up to date imaging, i.e. ultrasound, CT Scans, MRI Scans and when required PET CT Scan.

We offer a full range of surgical treatments for benign disease and treat cancer of the prostate with our extended surgical and oncological team offering the latest modalities and the most advanced drug therapies available.
